Every Hollywood director started small – under the motto "Connecting learning experiences," yesterday the 2nd upper secondary class of the Blumenau Primary School (St. Gallen) visited us, professionally guided and in cooperation with the Institute for Digital and Informatics Education (IDIB-PHSG) and the Eastern Switzerland University of Applied Sciences.
The upper secondary students filmed our learners from various vocational fields, from commercial professions to our polymer mechanics, IT specialists, mold makers, foundry technicians, and logistics experts, and learned the craft from filming to interview techniques and film editing ▶️ Next Generation.

We are extremely pleased to announce that our company DGS Druckguss Systeme AG was honored with the Gold Award at this year's 18th Shanghai Expo for Diecasting!
Our longitudinal beam convinced the "Foundry Institute of the Chinese Society of Mechanical Engineering" and was recognized as an outstanding innovation. This award is proof of the hard work, commitment and innovative strength of our entire team.

St. Gallen Technology Campus visits DGS
As in the past, DGS Die Casting Systems is once again part of the St. Gallen Technology Campus – a joint initiative of the Lienhardt Foundation and the St. Gallen University of Teacher Education.
Throughout the day, 16 students from the 5th and 6th grades and the 1st upper school were given an insight into our company on the subject of technology. They experienced for themselves live on site how a casting is created by us - from the design to the set-up of the machines and the actual casting process of a part at the end of the production chain. All participating students were enthusiastic and impressed by this day and showed a lot of interest throughout the day.

A new chapter begins
After 13 successful years, Andreas Müller handed over his role as CEO of the DGS Group on May 31, 2024. Under his leadership, the DGS Group has made significant progress.
Andreas Müller will support the new CEO in the transition phase until the end of September and is expected to strengthen the Board of Directors from 2025.
We are pleased to announce that Alexander Ziehr, previous Managing Director of our plant in St. Gallen, has taken over the position of CEO as of June 1, 2024.
The Board of Directors is thrilled to have recruited such an experienced and competent executive from within its own ranks for this central position.
We would like to thank Andreas Müller for his outstanding work and wish Alexander Ziehr every success in his new role.
Together, we are looking forward to the future developments of the DGS Group.

Change of leadership at DGS Druckguss Systeme AG
We would like to inform you about an upcoming leadership change at DGS Druckguss Systeme AG.
Mr. Andreas Müller, who has significantly shaped the direction of our company as CEO over the past 13 years, will step down from his position on May 31, 2024. We thank Mr. Müller for his achievements in developing DGS into an internationally operating corporate group. Mr. Müller will remain connected to the company and is expected to join the Board of Directors from 2025.
From June 1, 2024, Mr. Alexander Ziehr, the current Managing Director of our St. Gallen plant, will take over as his successor in the role of CEO. Mr. Ziehr brings extensive experience and profound industry knowledge to his new role, ensuring the continuous strengthening of our market position. We will promptly fill the Managing Director position at the St. Gallen site.
We are confident that this leadership change will support the continuation of our strategic goals and look forward to a continued successful collaboration with you under Mr. Ziehr's leadership.

In recognition of their outstanding contributions to innovations in foundry technology, DGS Druckguss Systeme AG was awarded the prestigious Innovation Award of the German Foundry Industry Peter R. Sahm. The award ceremony took place during the Great Foundry Technical Conference 2024 in Salzburg, attended by 650 leading industry representatives. DGS Druckguss Systeme AG has excelled in the foundry industry through continuous innovation and a pursuit of excellence. This recognition reflects the company's commitment to advancing the industry with advanced solutions and improving the efficiency and quality of processes. The credit for this achievement goes to all employees of the DGS Group at all locations.
